Snapshots - Lakeland Highlands Scrub
Greetings from the Hermit Writer. This is a nice little county park smack dab between Lakeland Highlands (a snooty suburb of Lakeland), Mulberry, and Bartow. Some very sandy trails, but a nice place to get into nature and snag some exercise. I was there on ANOTHER dreary day. Very unusual for Florida in winter.

What refreshing photos of the skies.
ReplyDeleteLove them.
ReplyDeleteMom said it's been downright chilly the last few days... for Florida.
ReplyDeleteI forget where in Florida you're at. We're in the Winter Garden area, and it's super rainy and dreary today, but yesterday was exactly perfect. Oh I miss the 80's...
ReplyDeleteMy son and his family just returned from Orlando! Not the best of weather there either!
ReplyDeleteWonderful trees and lovely colors inb the sky. Best, Synnöve
ReplyDeleteThe trees make me want to look up, but that gator suggests I should keep an eye on where I'm treading.
ReplyDeleteThe trees are great, but you can keep the alligator!
ReplyDeleteThe Alligator, well captured.
ReplyDeleteThat eye of the gator is kinda creepy:) Like your favorite passage above from one of your books (6 ways to kill) - you have a way of getting in someone's head ... (good for a writer, good for a psychologist)!
ReplyDeleteI like the little gator and the fields are nice too.
ReplyDeleteI love trees and even dead ones can be quite beautiful although sad to see. I do not like alligators or crocodiles so glad that fellow was almost hidden. Thanks again for sharing some lovely photos.
